People Tree

EK teamed up with people tree to produce an organic cotton capsule collection for AW09/10 in key shapes and signature prints.
All garments are 100% fair-trade organic cotton and are made in India.
This was showcased at LFW in February 2009 and is available to buy from September 2009. People Tree online store www.peopletree.co.uk or mail order 0845 450 4595

‘We are very happy to collaborate with People Tree and extend our interest in ethical and environmental ways of working. We have already started to explore this through some of our past projects (for example G-wizz, soil association certified printing). Working with Safia Minnie is inspirational, and we feel that working with the progress of the world and not against it, will prove to be extremely rewarding.

Hopefully this collaboration will increase our own knowledge and understanding and encourage other brands to move in more ethical ways. Investigating alternative ways of working sits well with our creative development, and consumers should be educated about the negative impact of buying mass produced clothing on the manufactures and producers.’
